I've always wondered...when a pilot qualifies in the military as an aircraft commander on a large turbine aircraft (Stratotanker, Orion, Nightnigale, etc.), do they automatically earn an FAA type rating for their civilian equivalents (707, L-188, DC-9, etc.)?
