Two Sets of VASI's For One Runway?

Has anyone ever seen anything like this before. There are two sets of VASI's, both active, on opposite sides of the runway.

What is the purpose or advantage to doing it this way. And as a bonus, since this airport is in Spain, is this typical and are all airports this way there?

Maybe they have two for two different angles, if you notice the one on the left is right on glide, while the one on the right is slightly above.
