And is anyone actually asking meaningful questions? Hope to be there for the Friday one!

I don't care!

The only group I am listening to now is ALPA. They are the only ones I know are on my side.

ASA mgt. has done so many things over the years that are unprofessional and undermine the pilot group that I refuse to listen to anything mgt. says or writes.

More of us should do this. Think about it, we know that mgt. only wants us to work for as little as possible. They don't care if you can take care of your family.

I only listen to the MEC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take a hike ASA mgt.

Of course it's more of the same. Look, Tutt ain't gonna change his mind, no matter what you say or ask. He's looking for his bonus/promotion if he can bend the ASA pilots over, plain and simple. Instead of listening to Tutt, you can ask your Negotiation folks questions on the following dates/times:

Tue1-3pm (today
Thur 7-9pm
Sat 1-3 pm

Also, ATL LEC Meeting on the 27th of June.
Go to the ASA ALPA site (crewroom.alap.org), sign in, and you'll find the number to call. Sorry, pooperscooter, no management pukes allowed!

Anyone know what Tutt's talk is supposed to achieve? The fact ALPA speaks for us is more than a slogan, legally ALPA does represent and thus speaks for us.

Does Tutt intend to talk us out of our strike vote? What is his goal?

He's tasked with bending the ASA pilots over. Cuts cuts cuts! If he gets us to back down, he wins his bonus and JA's admiration, then he'll replace LaLiar as COO.

Of course he will try to talk you out of voting YES for a strike. That's what he gets paid to do.

Strike ballots coming next week, voting YES.

He said he was sorry for lying to the pilots. He and BL came up with the BS letter threatening the A/C deliveries. Tutt said JA loved the idea and awarded BL a large stock bonus for the scam. If he and BL get the concessions that Uncle Jerry wants they will get to go to Disneyworld and play golf in Florida. Willy will carry their bags and act as caddy.

Willy? Thought they'd let SuperPooper carry their bags, he's so far up their arse anyway. Voting YES, strike vote coming soon.

Bump

Anybody have any real feedback from this talk yesterday?

I was there for the afternoon session for about 10 min.

Lots of koolaid.

Lots of fancy spread sheets and an obviously rehearsed presentation.

The part I heard was about why the 4th qtr form 41 DOT results were not accurate. They basically blamed it on Delta since it was prepared by them.

Lots of excuses.

Lots of smoke and mirrors.

I will post my feelings in detail when I have more time

Medeco

It was a very prepared session with a number of "canned" answers to the 'tough" questions that people were asking. I wasing in and out all day and had the "pleasure" of hearing different people answering the same question.....and the answers were almost identical. There were a number of prepared graphs and spreadsheets which of course illustrated the point managemet was trying to make.....but of course no backup info on them at all.

There was one chart in particular that was particularly puzzling. It was based on form 41 data with us and SkyWest and basically was a total of what it costs us vs. them to fly a particular aircraft per block hour. There were 5 compenents that they were including in this aggregate number. I forget what they were but when asked what made up the "crew costs" column for each they refused to answer. They brought up the same old tired graph of the hourly pay scales....when again pressed for info as to what the individual line-items were that made up "crew costs" we were told specifically "We can't tell you that"!!!!! WTF. Are you kidding me? So you come up with this aggreagate number and you ask me to make a decision on it, but don't tell me what makes up that number????? That's like buying a car without looking under the hood!

They then stated again that it is an aggreagate of what it costs per block hour......when asked what that meant, whether it was per block hour flown or per hour paid you should have seen the tapdance that Bryan was doing. He asked, "Well, what does it matter" It matters because ASA pilots only get paid for block hour flown......SkyWest pilot get paid lots of block credits that they don't fly because of trip and duty rigs!!!!! They could be getting paid sitting in the hotel, but that wouldn't be included in that "aggregate" number if the graph is for a single flown block hour.

When asked if management was going to set the example and take a paycut along with us, you kept getting the same story as well. "We reduced our executive staff from 14 down to 7. And that was not easy, some of those guys were my friends." Well, it sounds to me like we were fat! By the way, we did't ask how many positions you eliminated, we asked if you were going to take a paycut...guess what, the answer was NO!

Did anyone ask LaLiar about his $700,000.00 bonus?

701EV

Ok...here is the story about the bonus....if I understand it......
He gets 28000 shares of skywest. He keeps it for 3 years. He then gets the profits that those shares made, not the actual 28000 shares.
I.E. If the stock raises 2$ then he makes $56,000. This is according to BL.

They also said that our CRJ-700's cost 80$ more per hour for flight crew costs. Multiple people asked for a breakdown, and they could not provide it. Just a pretty line chart that shows our pay against DCI. The problem is they even had MESA in it. Not a fair comparison.

$80/hour??????????? That is not even CLOSE to being believable. That would mean that, on average, each of our pilots makes about 80% more than whoever the comparison is against. Give me a break. If they are going to try to use numbers to convince us then at least make them believable.

Remember you have to include the deadhead crew in the back because scheduling can't do their job to save their butt!!!

So true. I've looked at initial open time, and there's a YUL trip where you DH up, and fly back I think. And, the damn trip is on there like 3-4 times as open time. Not sure if it's also on someone's line as a scheduled trip. ROC has one like it too.

Predictable huh. They really believe ASA pilots are ignorant.

This is quite a profound statement. And apparently 100% accurate. After observing and hearing the actions and words of Bryan for so long, I am thoroughly convinced he believes himself to be on a higher intellectual plain than his pilots. Only my opinion, but I feel he has a prominent tendency to vastly underestimate us. This will be at his peril.

Also IMHO, but I believe Mr. Tutt's recent outburst clearly illustrates how the management not only underestimates us, but greatly undervalues us as well. I often think that the GO, while visible directly across the field, might just as well be 1000 miles away.

Scheduling? Get rid of those dumba+sses first. Fourteen VP's down to seven? That is a good start for trimming fat from the company. Next they need to get rid of the Departure Coordinator, what a waste of money. What do they do beside lie about departure times. ACARS will get them soon.

Heard from ops there will no longer be DC's. Asked one, he said they are being integrated into other ramp positions, like area supervisor or something. Same ole, same ole.......

Speaking of the G.O. take a look at the latest photo on MYASSA and read the caption. Who ever wrote it is proud of the number of RJs on the ramp and has no clue they are all hold outs with NO GATE. It should be titled "300 Delta Paxs missing their flights".

Well, I wonder if old Art will be moving. Remember him? He used to screw the crap out of us from scheduling before he became a DP. The only two times I called in sick in 6 years he called me a liar and called the Chief Pilot. After I quit and DH (at the time) told me to calm down and would not accept my resignation told me that old Art was just an idiot and an ass. The only other time was Nelson and I threatened him with self disclosure to the FAA, he then backed down. Sucks when you have to go through that!!

You know, I haven't had that problem since I went on MLOA. Things that make you go HMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!

:rolleyes:Anyone who believes what any of our "AssClown" mgmnt has to say, deserves to get what's coming to them from our Assmgmnt!

Exactly. They included Mesa and Cha-Ka-Ka, which are both up for negotiations next year, and will surely not take cuts. Our current rate is 7 years old. "apples to oranges".

Hey guys no big surprise with CT.....HE did the SAME thing to the DELTA guys after 9/11.......His only goal is to bend us over and stick our heads in the fence so MGMT can have thier way with out the KY.

He was an a$$ then and is an a$$ now.....times may change but people DON'T

VOTED YES!!!!
