We tried to use them to hire a scheduler last year. We were not impressed with the caliber of candidates they presented - repeatedly. Depending on what youre looking for, if its admin help try NBAA airmail. Get the rumor mill working for you... These people cost us 10k and we ended up hiring someone we knew from the outside anyway.
I used them once before awhile ago to try and find a flight instrucing job in 94' i think cause i didnt want to flip burgers! At that time they wanted from the applicant who got the job to pay them 10% of your first years salary as a fee! They wanted $2400 dollars! i said 'no way' is a flight instructor at that time was even gonna come close to making 18k let alone 24k.
So they said ok and wanted 2k. I should have tried for lower cause 3 months later the flight school went out of business.
Tried them again last year to find a corporate gig, i dont think they have a fee anymore for pilots looking for a job. The only job they found was flying a Hawker in the Middle east! No thanks.
I am presently in the process of becoming a fully registered client. I have some suspicions about them pretty early in the game, but will see how things shape up. They do not charge a fee. This is there game plan. They will allow you to apply for one job free. If your resume looks promising for the position you applied for, they will want you to fill out a bunch of forms, so management can get a better feel about your qualifications. If they determine that you are not qualified after reviewing all your documents, they will ask you if you would like to become fully registered. This is were I have some questions.
The fee is $100, but it does not go to Turner Group. They use another company called Aviation Professionals that put together a resume package. Supposidly this will help you with any jobs they may find for you.
I applied for a position they had advertised and sent my resume in quickly. About 2 days later I get an e-mail that tells me to get all these forms filled out fast and get them back to us within 48 hours. WOW!! I'm thinking this looks pretty good. I have gotten in the habit lately, that I do not apply to any jobs unless I am pretty sure that my qualifications will be competitive. 4 days pass and they call saying management reviewed my material and I was not qualified. What ever but for $100 you can become fully registered. I then go to there web site and this same job was posted indicating it had been filled.
It is to early in the game with these guys to say if they really are no good or they place people in good jobs. So far some red flags have gone up.
