Beach club east or west is pretty good. They were building some new places when I was there last, in August. Not much in the way of things to do, bring some movies.

I can second this -- We stayed at the Beach Club West I think it was in November, pretty boring but then I am not the beach type person.

Depends on which island. If you're going to Provo, Royal West Indies is not bad. Some great diving to do if you have time. Use Caicos Adventures if you decide to do that. I agree, not much else to do besides lay on the beach and dive. Magnolia is one of the nicer dining spots.

Peace and Plenty is decent. The owners are from the US, and will take you out across the bay to the ocean side for diving, snorkling, etc... And it is just a 5 minute ride to downtown for whatever reason you'd want to go there. Try and get the unit at the water's edge. Last time there, on the next beachover, they were doing a bikini calendar shoot, and the viewing was very nice! They also said they were going to get a Cherokee 6, so if thats true, they can get you out to the other islands for whatever.....

Just got back today. Temps: 81 day, 73 Night. Water temp: 78. Try the TURKS HEAD BEER!

Turks Head! UGH, the locals make fun of that stuff!

Fyi....on Provo I drag the younger crewmembers to Club Med. All the booze and buffet food you want and they have the club thing going on every night. It's all inclusive (shhhh dont tell the boss) so you make out if you're per-diem based. Very nice beach, free sailboats and snorkeling trips.
Get to the Palms for dinner one night, they've got one of the nicer resturants on the island.
Talk to Arnolda at Provo Air for the crew rate rather than bother with Air Routing/Universal...

All the big time handling companies have a contact there and I believe they all use Provo Air. There a little customs office in the FBO itself and it's always been that the pax get off the plane, go clear at customs while the rampers and pilots huf the bags into the office and then transportation. As a pilot you have to eventually wander over the the customs office and fill out an inbound card and have your passport stamped. On the way out you drop off the temporary card and leave.
Leaving is no big deal except you don't really get your official clearance until you taxi out. They'll give it to you before you start but sometimes it changes. Not many taxiways there so you have to "backtrack" into position which requires a 180 at the end of both runways. They do a position report sort of ATC thing there down low, it's called provo approach and you get handed off and to Miami but no radar until then. Make sure to ask for the visual approach if it's nice to avoid doing the whole procedure, it'll save lots of time. We us air routing for everything and it's usually good. It's not Provo air that messes the paperwork up it's AR. Either way they're pretty laid back just like the Bahamas so no worries.
