Just heard that TSA will furlough yet again:
My numbers are

12 more furloughs and 10 displacments. I only have the numbers, I dont have effective dates etc.

Things just continue to get worse for TSA.

hoooray blowjets....good luck fellas.....

12 more furloughs at TSA effective August 8th.

I got called for a junior assignment yesterday.

I get called to be furloughed today.

Great F***ing Company

Enjoy it when its yours GayJets.

Furlough through DOH of 7/2005, placing 60 total pilots on the street
A year wasted

12 more on the street means a DOH of around 8/2005 I think. Too bad they won't offer a voluntary furlough.....

Sorry to collect information since I know this has been going on for some time for you guys, but, are you losing airframes currently? I am assuming that if so, it is so they can be replaced by GoJet CRJ700's?

We've parked three so far and the new memo said that another plane will soon be parked.

I hope all the management on the TSA side will like working for G0jet for 20 an hour. TSA is burning down quick, tons of cancelled flights.

G0Jet = Scab

Hope you didn't get the call...

Have a plan "b" yet?

I dont think reserve lines will be existant at all anymore, how can they, theres not enough people to cover what being done now, unless all the SAT flying is gone in august. I got juniored on my last day before furlough. I was sitting P.M. airport reserve so I had to answer my phone. My argument was I dont work for you after today so how can I fly for you tomarow? Your the only person available e and your getting junior pay for it was their respons. I DONT CARE ABOUT JUNIOR PAY, WHY AM I GETTING FURLOUGHED IF IM THE ONLY PERSON AVAILABLE? If you dont take this assignment you may be terminated not furloughed.

I was over at GJ Training center a few days; I meet a TSA Furlough pilot that is now in Ground school with G0JET. Dan R. made him resigned his furlough status at TSA and he applied to GJ and now he is Employed and in training for GJ.

Last year they asked for voluntary furloughs, then turned all of the guys down when they sent the request in.

As of today, 12 more furloughs and 10 downgrades. Anybody got the number for that truck driving school?

Talk with Dario M. he owns a trucking company; the funny part about it is he won't allow them to unionize. I have heard with my own ear that if they Unionize he will shut down the company, and this is your leader at TSA WHAT A WINNER!!

I guess that makes it Ok?

Nope, he still joined an alter ego, and he will be an alter ego pilot for life.

Swordfish, Hi Maybe we can all go over! Could you walk in my resume???

Before being furloughed from Trans States I made it a point to ask other pilots about the Go Jet option. Let me make this clear, I did not ask Trans States pilots. In my travels, I, and friends that I had asked to find out about the general opinion about Go Jet. We must have surveyed together over 100 captains from other regional and major airlines. And..... "It seems it would be a career ending move." Some Captains even showed me a list in their flight bag of all the pilots that are now working for Go Jet. The word is out.

But I feel bad for the young people that had that aviation sparkle in their eye and hopes to go big, For getting caught up in this mess. They knew no better.

And for that I am Flyinsick….

Jumping Ship

Come on over to XJT. A bunch of us previously furloughed guys are here at ExpressJet...has to be at least 8 of us from the first round alone. What a class act this company is compared to Trans Mistakes.

For whatever it's worth, RZ talked to the recurrent class today, he didn't say anything about parking more airplanes (although it's still possible), and he thought the July round of furloughs would be it, he seemed somewhat surprised we furloughed more. There will still be a few people from last July's class left, and San Antonio isn't shutting down completely yet. He expects they'll be recalling in November, I'll be surprised if more than 5 people come back.
