Looking through some pilot position available I noticed as a requirement: " Able to pass TSA background check".
What's that a TSA background check?

The Transportation Security Agency (TSA) has issued a requirement that all flight deck crewmembers operating aircraft 12,500 pounds and heavier be fingerprinted and pass a criminal background check. Basicly if you have a felony conviction in the last ten years, you are unemployable in large aircraft. These employers are simply stating that you need to be able to pass such a check. You see more of that statement as time goes on. You will surprised how many pilots are out there that have or will fail this background check.

I think all of the TSA nazis should be able to pass it too. My guess is there would be a whole lot of hiring going on and right soon....

I would have to agree with you! It would be nice just to see if all the screeners could pass it. At least now most of them speak understandable english (at least that's my experience).

I hope the TSA-Holes get furloughed! (The government a-holes, not the airline folks.)
