I heard TSA has been put on 60 day notice with United. Are they in danger of Untied dumping their deal because of poor preformance?

Are they still getting more jets? I see some parked in St. Louis, on the ramp. What happens to them if United says see ya!

Won't happen........

But in United's case they consider a "late" flight 1 min late so...the numbers are decieving...

And if we are 20 minutes early?........that would be "on time" NOT early.....lol

Theyve "been on 60 day notice" for about 120 days! :D

I can't belive they even are still operating as code share partners with any airline. I'll give them Airways because you can't see all the filth on that paint job, but they make the AA planes look like poop!

Sixty day notice, no, I'm pretty sure it was "double secret probation...."

That can mean only one thing.......Toga party!!!!

Nothing is over until we say its over.......Was it over when the germans bombed pearl harbor? Was it over when........

Sorry, I'll calm down now...

i heard that rumor back in... oh... november.

more than 60 days before they announced they'd get more jets.

PadFull'oTrim is more than likely a STL ramper with no credability. As of this moment TSA will take on 10 more ERJ 145s for United starting in June. That is fact as of now not a rumor.

TSA is always on some kind of notice. Uncle Huly operates his company always on the line but without crossing it ,in most cases. They will be fine.

This is round two with United. I'm sure the attitude has not changed since they loaded you guies the first time. A little soap and water would go a long way. You get a higher true airspeed if the planes are clean; then maybe you could be on time.

Wow, You are a piece of work. Although your theory is without merit, I will respond so you can be enlightened. Yes, we have suffered many late flights on our United operations into ORD. The main reason is ORD. Ask any ACA, Air Whiskey, or Mesa pilot and they will be happy to explain what EDCT stands for. Secondly Air Whiskey ops has their hands full trying to operate with 5 different express carries; all with different procedures. We have experienced many ramp delays for this reason. The only thing we do for United is fly. Our planes go .78 mach, we taxi as fast as everyone else, and our crews show up on time, therefore our tardiness has little to do with TSA and our dirty airplanes.

Prost

Well at least you know that they are dirty. What about in STL? Does CHQ make you late there as well? Enlighten me.

This is round two. What happened in the first?

I interviewed there twice. I live in Belleville so it would be a quick drive to work. I messed up the sim ride the first time through., and when they asked me what I would do if I smelled booze on my Captains breath I told them I’d turn him to the TSA people. The second time I showed up in a hard hat because the HO JO they interview in looked like it would fall down any minute and I was worried about my safety. They hired me on the spot because they liked my “safety conscious attitude” and my shoes were on the correct feet and freshly polished I might add. I busted out of training about four months later. They switched aircraft on me twice (first the Jet stream then the Jet). All the numbers in my head got all messed up, ya know like a big bowl of alphabet soup. I couldn’t pass the oral because the instructor zipper was stuck. I’m still looking for a pilot job. Any suggestions?

what my crystal ball is saying

I think UAL brought in Mesa and a few other companies simply to provide negotiating leverage to lower fee per departure rates with long established quality partners. I predict that once UAL is out of bankruptcy and the industry slowly turns around in the next 3-7 years that they will dump any UAX carriers that are not performing well. They got rid of Mesa back in 97 and if Mesa is not performing well they will do it again. It's just a matter of time. My guess is 3-5 years.

The above is purely speculative and in no way based on any "reliable sources" other than my gut feeling.
