New provisions in the FY05 DAA approved by congress late last week.
See the MOAA webstie for a recap but basically they approved a watered down version of earlier bill language and in the end approve TRICARE for reservists who have done a consecutive 90 day tour since 9-11 to be eligible for TRICARE for up to one year (28% premium goes to member for indiv or fam coverage).

Also noticed members (and dependents) coming off AD are eigible to continue receiving TRICARE for 180 days after DOS (not sure if any premium share applies).

Flogged,

I tried looking on those websites and searching, but did not find the TRICARE verbage. I am looking for the eligibility stuff specifically. I'm on a 90-day tour and could use the benefits when this ends.
Thx,

The 10 Oct Weekly Legislative Update on the MOAA site had a pretty good recap. I can't find it now either because it's been replaced by a newer update. I'll look around some other places to see if I can't find some info.

My concern is even though its passed in law, DOD will drag feet in implementing it. I stopped by the benefits office at the Med Group last week, but of course they new nothing since it hasn't come down through DOD channels yet. I'm like you and could really use the benefit here in the short-term.
