Travel Privileges - Regionals

Looking for some info on travel privileges. Specifically, how they work with the 'big airline'. For example, if you are flying for Mesa, how do your travel privs. work with USAirways, or whoever?

As far as the WO (alg, pdt and psa) the nonrev travel is the same as mainline. Free anywhere in US and I think carib, just list yourself (europe travel has some tax fees I think). You get the privlige for your mom, dad, wife/husb and kids. Kids until their 23.

Our nonrev benifits a U are one of the only good things we have going. basically it doesn't cost anything for mainline and WO guys.

depends, for WO's of an airline 'usually' they can nonrev as much as they want, same for people on their termpass or whatever it's called at the particular airline.

contractors...well that's an entirely different issue
at airways contractors are supposed to pay like 20bucks a leg which caused quite an uproar, dunno if it ever actually hapened
and at american contractors can't nonrev on them (heard from a friend at chataqua about this one, couldn't believe it)


not that it matters, cause schedules are so low it's not very easy to get anywhere cause of the loads...

Most of the non-wholely owns for USAirways don't pay that fee. The companies, such as CHQ, paid the fees and we fly the same as mainline. The only exception is that we no longer get on our CHQ flights before others...

with us as a non-wholely owned, chq, we get benefits on any airlines that our bases services. STL only gets American, which does charge a fee (they charge mainline, also) and then the rest of the bases get Delta, USAirways or Both. Delta works the same as mainline, just list... I don't know if we get priority on CHQ flights or not. I think we do.

On DAL you, spouse and children get benefits. On USAirways, your parents also get benefits.

I don't know who told you that CHQ can not nonrev on American... We can. It's just that American's travel policy as a whole leaves a bit to be desired. They use a "zone fare" system where travel from one zone to another has a set fee. It's not a lot of money but by far the worst travel benefits in our system.

if she's with CHQ and not based in a city that serves american, she won't get their benefits.
