I hear Transmeridian is calling people to interview next month for the 757. Does anyone know where they fly the 757s,crew bases?
Anyone know what the pay or schedule is like?

If you believe that a salary of $63k for a 757 Captain is acceptable, then get your stuff in. Quick!!

If you think unemployment beats $63k, you had better think again. I'm not saying the pay is great, but given the choice of of the two, I know which I would choose. Be careful with your words as you could be the one on the outside looking in someday.
Best Regards,

You got that right! Let's face it... Right now $63K to fly a nice airplane like a 757 looks pretty **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** good, but I have to admit that's very low pay / equipment.

Sadly enough,I think the glory days of 150K - 250K for flying a jet are coming to an end.

Maybe "Kit" will eventually get his pilot shortage after all! :(

Yep. And $19k to fly a "nice airplane like an RJ".

BUT IT'S BETTER THAN UNEMPLOYMENT.

Sure, there will always be pilots willing to work for sh!t money flying for sh!t companies. So, why was there so much screaming and b!tching about the Mesa pilots? No difference. And nothing will ever change because pilots will always line up by the thousands for these jobs.

Pinnacle doesn't either, takes a lot longer to pay off that creditcard from 17000 a year than it takes with 63000.
And I know companies where you top out at that pay flying similar equipment

TMA:

NO PAY for TRAINING

NO "Resign from (insert DELTA,UNITED, AMERICAN") or we will not hire you"

NO Training contract if you are current and qualified

The biggie is that most companies ask you to resign, at least TMA welcomes guys from Delta,United, and American with open arms. The pay is low, yes but if they let you ride out your furlough without asking you to "sign your life away" that means something.

The starting pay is 35K, that is the same at pretty much everyone else in the ACMI levels.

North American

I would have to disagree with that, I will probably make 75K this year as an FO/IO at North American. Of course it take lots of flying to do that, but it sure isn't bad for the first year.
