Trans States hiring?

Considering their expansion with UAL, does anyone know when TSA will start hiring again? I'm not asking for myself; been there, done that, have the t-shirt. But I have a friend that's in dire need of a job...he's more than qualified.

Hi!

It looks like they will be losing planes soon, and then adding more later, so they may have to actually furlough some more, before starting recalls. I believe they have about 25 on furlough now:

As of now it looks like we will be getting 5 more American Connection jets and parking 5 or so American Connection turboprops. So, it looks like things on the AC side will be a wash. The company memo on United said "up to 25 jets" so we could get anywhere from 1 to 25, we'll have to see what comes of it.
