I'm doing research on varying companies: Kalitta, Polar, Atlas, World, etc.

One factor would be a training contract. How much, and for how long, it is.

Anyone have the information for the above companies?

Not that I'm planning to get on and then leave right away. Just part of the overall picture. Trying to do some good research.

Last I heard, World's was 2years/$48K prorated based on when you leave. A bud who is now at UPS had to pay to leave, so they do enforce it. (I think his was 15months/$24K before they bumped it to the current rate).

We don't pull that training contract crap at Atlas, so if you come here and find a better job elsewhere, just resign.

World,
MD11 - 48K for 2 years (-2K/month prorated) PIC type

DC10 - 24K for 2 years (- 1K/month prorated) SIC type

B747 - no new hires in 747 yet

The only place I've heard of people leaving to before their 2 years is up and having to payback contract is UPS.

EVA....$65K raining contract over four years.
It is not pro rated according to the Australian captain who conducted my interview.

I know this is a foreign airline but I feel the information is relevant to the thread.

I turned the job down... no regrets.
