Leaving GSO last night, I saw an L-1011 with what I believe was the old ICC logo on the tail sitting at the freight terminal (No ... not the canabalized L-1011 sitting at the TW/CA maintenance ramp). Are they running a Tristar freighter again for someone?

Just curious ... I thought they were a cool aircraft.

Nah, don't think so.

They are getting more 747 freighters this year....Or so they say.

Have not heard about no Tristar landing on the property....:)

Thanks ... do you know who it is that runs the L1011 - white with red&blue striping - sitting on the GSO cargo ramp? I saw it again last week when taxiiing out to 23, and I was just curious because the paint scheme looks so much like the parted-out Tristar down at your maintenance hanger on Market St.

Thanks! :)

Nope, don't know anything about the planes over at GSO.

White with red/blue stripes sounds like an old Delta bird, OR that charter company that went T/U in MIA, them guys flew the 1011 with similar paint job.

What was the name of those guys?
Owned by a woman who self disclosed to the FAA, then the whole thing got shut down....?
