Hello all you freight dogs out there. Am looking for information about TradeWinds Airlines and Air Transport Int'l. Basically quality of life issues. Really don't know much about them. Tradewinds web site is under construction and ATI's web site has no info for pilots. Just received app for ATI and will soon send resume to Tradewinds as they are supposed to start hiring pilots this year. If anybody out there currently works for one of these companies or knows someone who does, could you please send any info or web sites on: first year pay, direct to FO seat or panel (ATI-DC-8), upgrade time, labor/mgt relations, union/non-union, commutability, schedules, days on vs days off, where they fly to, typical rotation and duration....just basically the works!!

thanks in advance for any and all info

Tradewinds will be hireing pilots anf F/Es soon...About 60 guys for the 747s alone, then possibly some Airbus guys.

2 weeks on, 2 weeks off.

LAX and MIA for the 747.

Check out the other threads on Tradewinds for more info.

Sounds good. Any other way to get info. Their website is very limited.

Yeah the webpage is kind of useless.

They will give ya all kinds of info during the interview.

Not much to add really, just a typical non-sced freight operation.
They pay for half yer medical and half yer dental, half the month off, etc.

Ya know the bases.

The LAX flying is mostly Alaska and Korea with some lay-overs here and there.

The MIA trips are usually deep South, with 1, 2, 3 or more days in Brazil, Chile, Argentina and other places.

Okay people to work with, ok planes to fly....Its just another job man, what can I say..?

Send in yer resume and see what happens, then decide.
