2 issues there.

It's all a matter of opinion. What works well for you might not work well for me and vise versa. Does that make sense?

The best corportate job out there is one none of us have ever heard of and never will because the pilots are not dumb enough to go talking about it.

Understood. I assumed that since the military, airlines and charters have their top outfits based on majority's opinions, I thought there was some sort of recognition on what Corporate has at the top. There's always talk about Hewlett Packard, Nike, Time Warner, Franklin Templeton and so on...

Top 100 based on what? Size, pay, QOL, etc......? It would be really difficult to measure this and make a list. Most of the best jobs that I have ever heard of are single aircraft operations flying for some wealthy individual, not the big corporate jobs.

Wow, sorry to make this complicated. I was not looking for a hard copy 100 list of targets, just unofficial inputs from you guys that have been around a while of the best Corporate Flight Departments out there, excluding the private owners that would not be as exposed anyway. I know everyone likes to think they have the best job around, and they probably do, so just to make it clear this is not an attempted stab of who has the better job than who, just curious as to what outfits best defines (overall) the "brass ring" in this part of the industry.

The best gig I have ever heard of is flying for someone that you have never heard of. I intend to keep it that way until one of them retires and I get to interview.

Working for the big flight departments isn't always best, though it is usually pretty darn good.

Yes, but...

Enron was #7 on the Fortune 500. They had a corp department.

Yes, but Enron had an outstanding flight department. It was a great place to work, great pay, great morale and really good people. Enron had many many great employees. You know why the company failed, but the flight department was simply outstanding and would still be there today had it not been for the bad guys at the top.

Do not over-estimate Nike. Sure, they have pretty planes, but the schedule can suck and they have more than their fair share of Know-it-alls.

The best flight department is the one that exists under the radar, is not operated by a publicly owned company, provides slightly better than average pay, a reasonable schedule (the occasional pop up reminds the pax why they spend $$ on jets), as much job security as is possible in this business, safe equipment and great people to work with. FWIW.

The most accurate statement ever made on this board.

The best corporate job can be described this way:

"If it was any better, everyone would want my job. If it was any worse, I wouldn't want my job"
