So I’m talking to an old buddy of mine who freight dogs out of Florida and he tells me an interesting story. One day last month his boss tells him he is to ferry a 310 up to Tallahassee, so he gets everything ready and gets in the plane to go over some last minute stuff (before starting) and all the sudden he says he hears this faint noise that almost sounds like screaming. He briefly ignores it but it slowly gets louder. Its plain day and so he really thinks nothing of it except that maybe just the headset was making noise somehow or he left the avionics and master switch on. But of course he checks and they are all off, so just to be sure he puts on the headset but hears nothing but the screaming noise getting louder. Still convinced its some avionics issue he gets out and calls the avionics tech out and they both get in the plane and the same situation occurs. He tells me he is now convinced someone is playing a joke on him until of course the boss comes out to yell at him for being late. Well he cancelled the flight and the next day he was glad he had made that choice when the owner showed up.

Apparently the owners’ mother was recently sick and had frequently requested flights in the airplane as it brought her enjoyment to go up for a few hours. After her last flight she passed away that very night. Which was one week before the plane was to be ferried. The owner got in and no noise was observed but he was not surprised to hear the story of the pilot and avionics tech. Apparently his mother swore that no one would ever fly that plane except she and her son and I guess she was carrying though with her promise. Don’t know if my pal was feeding me a line but he sure went into great detail and has no life if he made this one up.

Anyone else got any good ghost stories/experiences?
