On a p121 can you legally land at night on a rwy that has all lights operative (apprch, REIL, thrsh, centerline etc.) except the rwy lights (left and right)?

Yes

Yes, you can with higher minimums... well maybe higher.

The approach plate and / or ops specs will sometimes have a penalty for the approach lighting inop but in general...

If the edge lights are the only lights operating, regular minimums (some airports don't have approach lighting).

If the edge lights are inop but subsitute lighting is being used our minimums are 1000-2 for landing and 300-1 for take off.

I have run into this and found the answer in our COM.

Hope this helps.

Dog Driver,

Did you read the question right? As I read our Ops Specs, (yours may be different)the higher minimums apply to day operations. Runway lights are required for P121 night takeoff and landings.

Take care.

Sorry guys...

Yea, I read the question backwards. The only lights that you MUST have are the edge lights. All be it, they can be temporary lights (battery, pots, etc.)

Guess I read what I was thinking.... duh.
