RE: Transmeridian Airlines TMA
Atlanta Ga

Have a buddy going for an interview and need the skinny, I hear they DO NOT ask for you to resign your number, the Chief Pilot is ex-rEAL and real good guy. TMA is looking for 727 and 757 drivers, everyone is back from furlough as they have a tour contract up in SYR that they are gearing up for.

Anyone with info?

Low pay you say?

Have you seen our new UAL payrates?

I saw on this board $58,000/yr for a 757 Capt. That seems a bit low. How does that compare to your new UAL rates?

Then again, I have learned not to rely on everything I read on this board, but I seem to recall something similar to that posted on climbto350.com.

My wife worked at TMA for 3 days as the tech pubs mgr. before quitting. The list of reasons she quit is too long to inumerate. Basically, though, it comes down to TMA being a p1ss-poor, disgusting operation. But, if you have no self-respect and really need to fly, what the heck. A job is better than no job; no wait, its no job is better than this job...

Tailwinds...

From the "for what it's worth department": a buddy of mine worked for them a couple years back. When ever they put one in for a "C" check, they'd lay off a few pilots till they got the plane back in service. Hopefully they've made some changes since then.
Best regards and Allah akbar,
RJ

I use to work for TMA, and got furlough when finished with training. On the first day you sign a training bond for a year and half worth about 20k. Not very well organize and you will be paid on B scale. The pilots out of my class, most of the class have already left or looking very seriously to finding something else. Think about it

Jimmie,

I heard you had gone to AAI.

Yeah, I wondered about the talk about TMA interviewing, after I'd heard about your and Bruce's experience there.

Good luck to you.
