DESCRIPTION
Captain

The Captain is responsible to the Chief Pilot and or Aviation Manager for the transportation of passengers with maximum concern for safety and efficiency. Other crewmembers and support personnel will comply with his/her directions in the performance of their duties. The Captain maintains close coordination with Dispatch regarding flight operations. He/she supervises all crew personnel associated with the flight and ensures the aircraft is operated in accordance with all pertinent regulations. It is his/her responsibility to coordinate operation of the flight with passengers, assisting them in boarding and deplaning, and advising them of delays or other circumstances affecting the flight. Other responsibilities include ensuring specific requirements of a flight are met, including but not limited to stocking of aircraft supplies, catering, servicing, enroute maintenance and passenger manifest changes.

Captain Qualifications:

1. Must hold an Airline Transport Pilot: Airplane multi-engine land certificate and First Class FAA Medical certificate.
2. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 6-8 years related aviation experience including extensive international operations.
3. Must process a G-IV or G-V type rating with current PIC signoff from Flight Safety or Simuflite.
4. Minimum total time of 5000 hours with a minimum 500 hours in type.

Ok, here's a question--What's a "current" PIC signoff from FSI? I got my type on the GIV last April. Am I out of currency on May 1?

We have just determined that the EU requires a recurrent within 12 months to fly in their airspace. We have been used to alternating the IV and V every year.TC
