In my old crew log I used to have this minutes to tenth decimal (like 4 min = .12 or something) page to convert the hours/minutes flight times for logging. My new log doesn't have this page, so I've been estimating the tenths to log time. Do most of you also just estimate? Or do you take the actual flight time and find the exact decimal time? Most people say not to be so particular about it. Just curious what the standard practice is.

Round it off and call it good. A tenth is six minutes. If it's more than three, round up. If it's less than three round down.

The only place I've seen minutes converted to hundredths has been government operations. For your own logbook, don't be so anal about it. Round off and log it, and forget it.
