Alaska, If you go to a lawyer, most probably, he'll be able to take your points away, but is going to be hard to get the tickets out. For that to happen, the cop, would not have to show up to court or your lawyer should declare you not guilty and fight the tickets. (very risky, if you loose you will have your points back)

If I pull my Driving record, I can see tickets in 1993. So I don't know when do they get cleaned up but definetly not 3 or 5 years.

In the other side regionals usually only look up for traffic violations within the past 3 to 5 years depending on the company.

Usually if you have two or less traffic violations within the past 3 years, you should be ok.
