Just want to say thanks to all who have provided support and encouragement for the Mesaba pilots during our strike preparation. All of us have been living in limbo since 9/11 and since the start of our negotiations and finally in less than 3 hours our lives will have some direction for once. I also feel that history will be made and that race to bottom STOPS HERE AND NOW. Management at all airlines need to be scared as this is now the race to the top. No longer are regionals stepping stones for ones career. They are not even regionals they are national and major carriers flying from Seattle to Mexico to the Carribean and to Halifax NS. Hardly regional when you look at the map.

Again the support has been amazing from everyone within the company, other airlines and yes even passengers. Wether its in the crew room, in the terminal or on the radio the support helps us at Mesaba feel good about doing whats right for all pilots and airline industry. I'm proud I can say I was there when we made a difference and proud to say I was part of the Mesaba pilot group. A great bunch of guys and gals that helped each other weather the storm of 9/11 and the fallout within the airline industry and yet again we are going to weather another storm. I don,t feal any trepidation as the deadline approaches because we have the support of so many people at Mesaba and industry wide. I'm glad to be moving foreward in my life once again as I;m sure everyone else at Mesaba is.

Thankyou to everyone, thankyou to Mesaba and thankyou to ALPA and our negotiating committee.

flyn96, thanks for sharing your thoughts. The clock is running out and tensions, emotions and adrenaline are running high. Stay the course, keep the faith with your fellow pilots at Mesaba and know that you are not alone. You have the support of every pilot, ALPA or otherwise, who understands that this is a profession worth defending. All the best.

hold strong

Mesaba pilots are definitely not alone. Thousands of pilots around the industry are shoulder to shoulder w/ you in this fight against mgmt. I know XJT pilots are not too far entrail! We are proud of you!
