Anyone catch this months ProPilot, the article about international ops?

Interesting stuff…

I knew the Asian user fees were scandalous, we occasionally find our way to Japan, expecting a trip to Thailand and Singapore this spring but what really turned my stomach was the blurb about the total ban on Israeli made bizjets in Arab countries.

Wonder if they will still consider this an absolute bans now that Gulfstream/GD owns’em?

Maybe we should abstain from selling our nice toys to that bunch of opulent, women hating pedophiles also known as Arab royalty. They seem to hold such an affinity for flashy Gulfstream equipment and big-assed Boeing bizjets.

Maybe those self-hating animals should be made to support the only ally they truly have in this world, the French, let’em buy Frog jets and Airbuses.

Anyone have any stories to share about recent trips to the M/E?

Good luck and Godspeed to our troops!

RVSM...A BLESSING IN DISGUISE

Im just grateful my airplanes(Lear 25s/35s) are more trouble than there worth to get RVSM certified or I might just have to make a trip to that part of the world. I think I will stick with North and South America where I have only encountered hard working people who do NOT blame the world or some specific race for their problems. A phrase I learned long ago is PERSONNAL ACCOUNTABLITY. I am sure there are those who will see this as some sort of politically incorrect statement but I will never agree with a society that preaches hatred and intolerance or ACCEPTS it.

This isn't "news", this ban has been around a long time. In fact, probably as long as the total ban on Cuban-made cigars in the U.S.

I don't think that long-standing political realities are any excuse to post a bigotry-laced diatribe. I'm the furthest thing from being a touchy-feely, politically-correct guy, but classifying entire goups of people as "animals" and worse is not only wrong (not to mention incorrect) but tarnishes everything that we as Americans stand for.

While it may be rude, the classification of "animals" is often a good way to describe certain groups, according to the determination of the writer or speaker.

For instance, France views us as "animals" because we include capital punishment as an acceptable sentence. We disagree.

Some folks describe Polly Klass' killer as an "animal". I think many of us can agree on that one. We can toss in David Westerfield, and a bunch of others, too.

Some opine that many inner city gangs, like the Cryps and Bloods are "animals", by their behavior.

As far as Arabs are concerned, there is a great deal of cultural based behavior that even arab-Americans find disgusting, ranging from the consistent use of a hand instead of bathroom tissue to beheading your niece or daughter because she has "shamed" you publically, or the enjoyment of young boys by adult males for gratification. Too many items to mention here, but you get the idea.

When we find a group's behavior does not rise sufficiently to what we see as a reasonable level of civility, we are inclined to use the "animal" moniker.

Is it a little rude? Maybe.

Is it incorrect? I suppose that, like so much else, it depends on your perspective.

Does it tarnish everything that we as Americans stand for? I'd have to say "no". If anything, we are known for our willingness to express ourselves directly.

So, if the shoe fits...

Hi CatYaaak

Maybe after you’ve walked a mile in my shoes you’ll understand why I have no use for these animals at all.

I lost two very close relatives in a suicide attack last year.

They are animals, plain and simple.

I'm sorry for your loss.

You've not walked in mine either.

This isn't an appropriate forum to discuss it.
