This story is the way to do it. As long as we have guys like this America will never perish.

Godspeed to those on the ground.

My favorite Quote:

"Don't ever think that you are defending me by slamming the Global War on Terrorism or the U.S. goals in that war," Jeffrey Toczylowski wrote. "As far as I am concerned, we can send guys like me to go after them or we can wait for them to come back to us again. I died doing something I believed in and have no regrets except that I couldn't do more."

Read about this in the Stars and Stripes out here in Balad. Amazing. Too bad the Palms couldn't have chipped in a few bucks...

God Bless him, his family and his brothers and sisters in arms. What a great story, you’re right - people like him make this country so wonderful. Personally, I’m not born in this country but I’m a fairly new U.S. citizen (~3 years now).

Most Americans become citizens by birth, some, like myself, become citizens by choice, and very few, like “Toz,” become American Heroes through the ultimate sacrifice. I will be for ever grateful for soldiers such as Jeffrey "Toz" Toczylowski and many others.

Sincerely,
HomeY

That is exactly why at 1700L it's such an honor for me to face the music and salute the flag.
