AMS to IAH is the longest I have been on. With the winds it took 11:25. We fly that route with a 767-400.

Don't know if your looking for airline info only or specific aircraft capability but a B767-200ER with late series GE or PW powerplants should be able to handle 15 hours easily. Jet East operates a VIP tanked 200 that will do close to 21 hours.

Was just on the longest, well what seemed like the longest, 757 flight. EWR to LAX on Continental. Boarded 30 minutes prior to departure. 55 minutes to takeoff. No PAs from the cockpit as to why the long wait for takeoff. The narrowest seat of all the airlines. (does have a wider aisle). Then sitting next to a french guy that was wearing a tank top.

did you get a free ride or pay for the seat?

ISrair flies a 763ER from TLV to JFK. DL flies 767ERs from SVO (Moscow) to ATL nonstop. Aeroflot flies from SVO to LAX and Alitalia flies from Rome to Caraccas.

I've seen aloha 737's in San Diego. That's long for the 737.

Guys,

What is the longest flight time you ever gone (heard of) for a 767 to fly? And where?

When I was a TWA 767 F/O in NY we blocked 12 hours, CAI to JFK (767-300). That was about the limit. Any weather in NY we were sweating. I never had to do it but some crews had to stop in Gander or Boston for fuel.

The canadians like their rj's.
Jazz Airlines flies from Houston to Calgary in the CRJ. The ding dongs that agree to fly that long in an rj are gluttons for punishment.

El Al is flying TLV-MIA-TLV with a 767-200ER. Schedule looks to be 12+10 eastbound and 14+10 (?!?) westbound. Previously 747-400s and 777s were used via JFK/EWR with occasional nonstops flown seasonally. This is a newly scheduled route which appears to be year-round.

EL AL's 762ER from TLV to MIA is 6588 nms.
Alitalia's 763ER from FCO to CCS is 5188 nms.
DL's SVO to ATL is 5382 nms.
ISrair's TLV to JFK is 5692 nms.

I think we have a winner--EL AL to MIA from TLV.

Well done.

They must have extra fuel tanks installed. The TWA 767-200's with standard tanks could maybe fly 10 hours.

Can't speak to the TWA aircraft but El Al was the launch customer for the B767-200ER. The TWA aircraft had been delivered well prior to that time and probably were not the heavy weight, large tanked aircraft. Most -200ER of that original ER (El AL), generation were in the 345 to 350 MTOGW range with standard tankage being 20,450USG.. Since that time the GW has been bumped up to 390K and the fuel capacity has risen significantly. There are aircraft built in the 1988 era that gross out at 380K with extra fuel capacity. When the PW4060 and higher thrust GE engines became available, thus replacing the JT9D's is when things went through the roof GW wise.

Hey GL, a little off subject but I saw a Delta 67 at Kiev, Ukraine a couple weeks ago and was wondering where they originated from? Since it's only about 2 hours past Frankfurt Germany I was wondering if you guy's had the range to go non stop or is it tag flying from Frankfurt?

Pretty cool sight, Us thinking we would be the only Americans there and low and behold a beautiful Delta 767 already parked at the terminal when we taxied by.

Peace

That airplane belongs to ABX and is getting a freight door installed. Delt sold a bunch of there old 200's to ABX for conversion.

Are you sure? I didn't think there was a conversion line at Kiev, Ukraine. The lines I know of are in Israel and I think in Brazil.

Thanks JohnQ, the American's working there who we were supporting can attest to the beauty of the local "talent".

Beautiful area BUT it's only about 60-80 miles south of Chernoybol. So you might wanna bring your geiger counter if your gonna venture anywhere up north on any sight seeing tours.

Peace
