I think we all wondered how long this b******it spirit of cooperation would last
I personally didn't figure it would go this long. It ends today, after 21 months of
wasted negotiations (10 months on scheduling alone with nothing accomplished) and not reaching any of the big
items yet. The IPA/UPS have jointly requested mediation. Hopefully we will start moving
in the right direction. Wish us luck as we fight for what we deserve and try to stop the
rollback of wages and working conditions.

It will most certainly be a rough year.

Is ASA's hiring of furloughs not considered "support"? What else do you expect when we are working in accordance with certain sections of your negotiated PWA along with our PWA?

After spending hours and hours and hours and hours and hours in the hell known as the NMB I wouldn't consider mediation a good thing. Every second in that building is a waste of time. Admittedly, ASA has provided more support than Comair in terms of hiring furloughees - that is a fact and it is appreciated among my Delta buddies. This was more of a response to the apparent lack of support on this board - note Sleepy, Fins and ATR-Driver, et al.

Don't include me in your little group. I have welcomed ALL of the furloughed DL guys here and have flown with several. Nothing but complete support for them all. Your posts however are the standard anti-ASA/CMR drivel that we all tire of. I don't know what your personal problem is and really don't care due to your caustic slam of us. Almost all of the ASA/CMR pilot group fully support the mainline furloughs completely. Simple enough.
You chose to hijack a thread that had nothing at all to do with your standard ASA/CMR remarks. Agenda identified.

Remind me, again, how every other post relates to the orignal message? Uh, I think it was related to UPS being released to mediation. Also, how does all of this inter-pilot-group cat fighting increase unity amongst pilots? Do individual pilots or unions make the hiring decisions? Stick it to the "man," (management) not your brothers. Focus, Focus, Beuller.

Stay strong and thank you for doing what your doing. For what it's worth you have the support of a DFW based 208 driver. The strong pilot groups at places like UPS that give me hope that paying all this dues will be worth it.
