I just happened to be thinking about my Christmas wish-list...my wife just can't shop for me unless I give her some clues, but that's another topic.

Anyway, I was thinking about adding The Bridges at Toko-Ri to my library of aviation movies, but I don't want to waste our money if it's a dog. (It's been a long time since I saw it...and I never saw the whole thing.)

Anybody think this is a winner...or is it a typical Hollywood steaming pile of an airplane movie?

Great Movie

It is in my library, it is based upon an actual squadron in the Navy during the Korean War. The ship board scenes and aircraft footage are done on an actual aircraft carrier. The author of the book Marc Michner (sp?) was a Navy Reserve Officer so he brings alot of inside Navy culture into the book and the movie. The great line at the end of the movie "Where do we find such men?" really sums it up. Two thumps up from me.
