So BOS Center guys, why is it that we have to contact "THE Boston Center". You guys the Ohio State of ATC? I never hear anyone else do it but i really started to notice it now. Even on the response its "XXX The Boston Center roger." Either everyone does it everywhere, or, it started as a joke in Nashua one day, and now even the grumpiest, tired, aged guy refers to it as its the official title of the elite. I actually like it and read back the handoff that way I guess I'm just wondering where it came from. Hold West might be able to answer?

And where is the ATC forum? I figured there'd be one in the new setup.

The red sox haven't won anything in a couple years now...it'll all settle down eventually.

Just make your initial check in something like:
"Good morning, The Boston center... The Delta 1234, flight level 370"
