atr fedex feeders

Here is what I know and I work for one of the bigger feeder in the SE. It will start with 4 atr-42 for Empire and the Mountain. We should see them in March. Both the Mountain and Empire are should see about 35 of them and retirement for the F-27 has already started 717FE in November. It is looking like that the Mountain will be keeping the Air Whisky models for some time. All told the Feeder system should see about 115 atr-42 and -72 world-wide. It should be a slow process because the company in Italy can only retofit 15 a year. As far as hiring, the Mountain should be needing to have a class soon (FO's), but no set date. Best thing is to have someone walk a resume in. Lots of resume file from almost everyone. Good Luck and Merry Christmas

Hey astro pilot. Do you know if they are hiring street captains. I have a friend who has flown the ATR's for coex for about 15 years and turned 60 this week. He is now looking for a job. I told him our planes were going to fed-ex and he was very interested. Any info you can give me would be helpful. Thanks

Fed Ex Atr

I am sorry but the Mountain will be adding those a/c to the 121 supplemental certificate, but we do look from time to time for 208b drivers for the 135 side. Have him look at www.pilotpointer.com it has some great leads. Good Luck!

Hiring off the street for feeder/atr's

Yea that figures...as soon as they get the bigger two engine aircraft at the feeders that airline pilots would "feel" safe flying, that they want to butt IN for head of the line hiring.

Next thing you know, the main line guys over at the old FPA will want to reward us with the concept of a flowback agreement.

atr

The ATR's are the replace for the F-27 that is currently on the 121 suppmental certificate for Mountain Air Cargo. The Mountain must have the certificate to operate large cat. a/c. The ATR is actually smaller than the F-27 and weight less.
