Boeing posts orders for eight narrow-body 737 jets
Thursday October 9, 12:58 pm ET

SEATTLE, Oct 9 (Reuters) - Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA - News), the world's largest aircraft maker, on Thursday disclosed new orders for eight narrow-body 737 jetliners to unnamed buyers worth about $400 million before routine discounts.
Chicago-based Boeing, which runs its jetliner unit from Seattle, did not provide any further details.

The orders boost Boeing's 737 sales so far this year to 136, or 81 percent of total new 2003 orders across its six jetliner models.

Boeing is on track to deliver 280 new jets for the full year, down from 381 in 2002 and 527 in 2001 amid a lingering air travel slump that has pushed several major airlines into bankruptcy.

Rival Airbus SAS (XETRA:EAD.DE - News; Paris:EAD.PA - News) plans to ship 300 new jetliners in 2003, which would put it ahead of Boeing for the first time ever.

Not too big of an order, not too small of an order, its just right.

Have fun with this.

Tailwinds...

Hmmmm, spend all of our money so MESA can't get their hands on it and increase our debt to make us less attractive in a takeover..... It's plausible.
