As I roll my sleeves up and get ready to start some of the baking for tomorrow, I wonder what everyone else will be doing for Turkey Day? How many of you have to fly, how many are off? Who's going to be with family, and who's cooking dinner at home?

I've rounded up about 8 of my sister's grad school classmates who can't go home, and we're all pitching in to make a Thanksgiving meal together. It should be a nice relaxing day!

Wherever you end up tomorrow, be it at home, or in a hotel room, I wish all of you the very best!

Happy Thanksgiving Y'all!

:)

MFR overnight...eatin' at a Denny's, I think.

:p

Last thanksgiving I was in training and stuck in a hotel, which would have been a horrible way to spend the holiday, BUT.. the world's kindest captain graciously invited all the training orphans over to her house where she in turn fed us. I'm not sure I've ever been party to a better Thanksgiving.

This year? I'm on reserve. I am determined (once I have a place of my own) to do onto others as has been done to me and facilitate a migrant pilot thanksgiving, though. Next year..

OK, seriously, working CDO, Naps, High Speed, Stand-up or whatever your airline calls them tonight and tomorrow. Will have turkey in between and hope I can wake up from the tryptophan to make it back to work.

Start of a 3 day trip for me. We'll try to find something open in CID. Don't think we'll have much luck though.

If your staying anywhere near the Heartland Inn in CID check out the Dancers Ranch, I'm sure they will be serving up something good, if not, Denny's is there too.

The town I got to overnight in for Turkey day didnt even have a Dennys. So the only place that was open was Ling Lings China Buffet so I got to eat some General Tso's Chicken. What a great Turkey Day meal.
