Was hoping that we could just stop and think, and thank those among us (and unfortunately those no longer with us) who served and sacrified either on 9/11/01 or as a result of it.

Even if only for today, can we put away the typical Flightinfo angst and remember those who gave so much on that day and the days/years following.

Thank you.

Yes indeed. And let's not forget what those barbaric muslim savages did to us on 9/11. Never.

Amen. I finished a red-eye into BOS this morning
and just went and reflected a bit at the UA gate next
door. To those lost, and those serving: Thank You.
We haven't forgotten.

Ten years ago today, at 8:46am, five terrorist hijackers crashed American Airlines Flight 11 into the North Tower of the World Trade Center, beginning the worst series of terrorist attacks ever carried out against our country. During the horrifying 77 minutes that followed, United Flight 175 hit the South Tower, American Flight 77 hit the Pentagon, and United Flight 93 crashed near Shanksville, PA after the brave passengers and crewmembers attempted to regain control of the aircraft. During these attacks, we lost fellow pilots and union brothers Captain John Ogonowsky, First Officer Thomas McGuinness, Captain Victor Saracini, First Officer Michael Horrocks, Captain Charles Burlingame, First Officer David Charlebois, Captain Jason Dahl, and First Officer LeRoy Homer, Jr. As we spend today remembering the events of September 11, 2001, please join me in saying a prayer for the families and friends of our union brothers who lost their lives on that horrible day.

Prayers. And be vigilant today.
And the day will live on as pearl harbor did.

But I'd like to suggest a new tradition- that we encourage everyone we know to fly on 9/11- everyone on an airplane and go someplace- even if they just take a round trip someplace- just to defy the ********************ers who thought we'd be scared into our homes
