I'm Going to Thailand in 2 weeks and would like to get to some of the smaller islands south of Bangkok for some scuba diving. Has anyone been sucessful with either a jumpseat or walk-up ID90 type tickets. I know that they have fairly cheap fares, but any cash saved will go directly into the local economy in the form of beer and *ahem* "massage" money..... As always, thanks in advance!!!

You can forget the jumpseat. They dont have a clue what that is or how it works.

I kinda figured that about the jumpseat, but you never know. Anyone have an idea on ID90's My airline is too lazy to negotiate ID90 interline passes, so I'm hoping there is a chance of getting some sort of interline discount at the ticket counter in Bangkok.

Dude,

you dont need to worry about id 90s. when I was there last time we paid 100 RT Bkk to Krabi. that was the day before the flight. Also look into the train, we paid 20 each to train to Chang Mai and bought a ticket back on TG for 50 each.
we are leaving in a few days....see ya over there
