I read an interview question from SWA that says, "Tell me about a time where your integrity has been questioned."

For discussion purposes, assume my integrity has never been questioned. What do you say here?

You could tell them about the time that you posted this on Flightinfo and nobody believed that your integrity had not ever been questioned in your entire life.

I think I would jump to my feet, start shoving papers and everything else off the table, and scream, "I don't know what you heard, but that bitch always lies!"

Then I would chuckle and say, "just kidding."

You gotta flip some office furniture over for that to be most effective.

What about the time you told your girlfriend you were at the library, while you were actully at a strip club with the guys.... come on, haven't we all done that?

Tell them the truth, after all, isn't that what you've always done in the past? After all, your integrity has never been challenged.

Philosophically and ethically, this is tough question.

Tell 'em about the time when you were working at a sporting store and you and your co-workers would super glue a quarter on floor in front of the gun counter just to see which customers would try to use a jack hammer to pick it up. And after they had to cart that sucker off in an ambulance for an acute hernia, the owner would look over at you and all your buddies and they would disappear, leaving you holding the bag.

Pregnant pause........"You know, I can't recall a time when my integrity has been questioned."

Nobody has an answer to every single TMAAT question.

Never had your integrity questioned?

Ever apply for any sort of an aviation job?
Most other jobs, especially McDonald's or Wal-Mart...
"Honey, does this look good on me?"
Never been on the dating scene...
Never had a high school teacher unbelieving of the document you just turned in...
Joined the military or talked with a recruiter....
Returned a valuable lost item to a Lost & Found or the owner...
Never blamed the sibling for something you did, "I didn't do it" while standing next to a broken window with a bat in one hand and baseball glove in the other.
Never filled out an IRS 1040 form..
Or a pilot logbook.
Never looked at the minimums for some job and realize you were 1.2 hours away... and you really wanted the job.
When no one is watching, no one is around, and it's the middle of the night, continuing to wait at the red light until it changes.
Or looked at the dessert menu while on a diet or while changing one's lifestyle...

External integrity questions are easy. It's those internal integrity questions that bite.
