Can someone tell me the length of the TDZ? As I recall in the AF, it was between 800'-3,000' (I think???). Thanks.
 
According to the AIM Pilot Glossary, the Touchdown Zone is the first 3000 feet of the runway beginning at the threshold.
 
The first 3000 feet of the runway beginning at the threshold. The area is used for determination of Touchdown Zone Elevation in the development of straight-in-landing minimums for insturment approaches.
