I heard at my unit this week that the AF was going to get rid of the rest of the E models and replace them with active duty tankers. This would make the big active duty units much smaller and move the AFRC/ANG up over 70% of tankers. This was thirdhand chatter from someone who had talked to someone else who supposedly heard it at some meeting.

Apologies if I am putting bad info out there, but I am curious. Anybody else heard anything about this?

This has been the case for quite some time now (old rumor / news). Here in Utah we get our first R's from Forko Grande (I believe) in October of 05. I may be wrong, but I think Pittsburgh or Fairchild was first to get the R's. Anyway, looking forward to the power down low :D Not looking forward to deploying to the sand
