I read in the new AirINC monthly flyer today that an airline called TAB express bought 4 Beech 1900's and is looking to hire 40 pilots. Does anyone know if this is this just some scam for the TAB express flight training department? I looked under www.tabexpress.com and it was just a site for their training with a side note of some shady route structure. ANyone know the difference between TAB express flight training and TAB express airlines?

One of the owners at Tab has always had big ideas. None of them ever came to light. Of course this owner might be gone but I doubt it.

Remember it costs nothing to start a website. Remember that kid who actually sold airline tickets on a low cost airline headed to hawaii that he never actually inteded to start.

http://www.tabexpresstravel.com an earlier post had the website.

The website says that they have set fares.... But at the top of the page it says "On Demand Charter". Sounds like they're contradictning themselves...

Arent sked 135 operators forbidden from advertising?

I remember someone telling me that Discover Air got in trouble for doing that a few years back....

any commercial flying ive done since my cfi days has been part 121 so im no expert on 135..but isnt there such a thing as part 135 scheduled service? discuss....

I drove by their flight line last week. There was atleast 4 1900's parked out there one had a big american flag on the body and a little tab express symbol on the tail. I didn't talk to anyone there but rumor all around there is they are starting service out of Daytona in November

TAB = P.F.T.

Yes, it's true the scumbag low life trash will hire you to train FOs', AFTER you pay them 20K or something like that, Oh yea the want 121 time and 500 hrs turbine for the big king air. Yes, there is such a thing as scheduled 135. Remember Cape Air And Pacific Wings?

TAB Express

It's true. They've been painting the planes out at DED for some time now. They've been taxiing around those 1900s as well. The operation seems pretty quiet down there these days, however. Don't really know what goes on. You don't hear much of them on the radio anymore (the trainees). In any case, the billboards are all over I-4 and I-95 in the vicinity of DAB. A friend of mine from work called about a job and the guy said the students and instructors would be flying. PFT at its best, ladies and gents. So, the rumors appear to be true. The only way it wouldn't would be if the company went belly-up before it took off. They aren't in DAB yet...

here is an example wha a scam TAB is.

I went to two AirInc fairs last year, at both there was a TAB booth with 3 pilots advertising how great their "airline" is. An hour into the Job Fair, two of their recruiters left to hand in resumes to other airlines that were there at the show. They even came up to CommutAir (which HAS same airplanes), then the third guy did it later on.

These guys looked really desparate for other jobs.
They must love being at TAB... not!

"The airline industry is facing an increasing challenge worldwide.

The existing pilot shortage is not just in numbers, but is manifested in the knowledge ability and experience level of prospective applicants. Until now no single pilot training program has existed exclusively to train airline flight crews."

Sorry I don't know how to do the little quote function. Anywho, this was a little paragraph from their website under Career Opportunities. What a bunch of horse$hit!!!!! These guys lure prospective students in........charge them an unbelievable amount of money.................and give them the "chance" to get in with their airline:eek: !!!! I don't know, but this PFT thing seems to be getting bigger all the time:mad: .

See ya'll

Yes 135 operators can run ads. Pacific wings used to pi$$ off Island air by advertising in the Molokai Advertiser News, (M.A.N.)
As a matter of fact, Fat A$$ Fag Boy Greg Kahlstorf lost us our JS privs. on most of the inter island by saying Dump the Dash Trash.
He's the reason why I left. Sorry to rant but there's your answer

You are right about 135's being able to advertise. Although the two operators that have been mentioned, Cape Air and Pacific wings are both scheduled 135 Airlines. That are operating aircraft that fall into the 135 catagory.

I see the problem TAB might have is that to operate a scheduled airline using B1900's you have to be under FAR 121. If you run them unscheduled (ie charter) then you can still operate 135. Unscheduled charters cannot advertise seats for sale. Just the entire aircraft.

Correct me if I am wrong...but I think that's the deal.
