Hi everybody!

I just want to know what do you think about Swiss International Air Lines?
Did you ever fly Swiss? What do you like or dislike?
Do you think taht Swiss will survive in the near future (war in Irak, economic situation,...)?

Thanks!
Patrick.

Phofmannsair,

Very nice website.

I've never flown on Swissair or Swiss. But, I love your country -- one of my favorite places to visit.

Welcome to the board.

phofmannsair:

I flew the old Swiss Air from LAX to Jeddah with a short stopover in Zurich a few times in the late 90s. I liked the service in Business Class froim LAX to Zurich but the product was a little less than I hoped for being used to Northwest's World Business Class. That said they did give me an upgrade to First once and that was quite nice. From Zurich to Jeddah the product left a lot to be desired for so called Business Class. The seats were too small and didn't recline far enough for that length of trip. I believe that was the A-330.

A coupler of friends of mine work for Swiss and they are not optimistic about the future. They are especially concerned about the arrogance and lack of expereine of the Crossair managers, especially in regards to long haul flying. They see a lot waste with the Crossair works rules and are very concerned about their futures in Switzerland.

I hope Swiss survives, but to do so they need good management and a better product.
