We have Flica here at AT and it seems good. It alerts us via txt when there is a trip in open time. We can access it via smartphones, and drop or swap trips.

What kind of system is over at SWA? I heard it is good. Can it be accessed via smartphone and/or internet? Can u swap trips on it and bid? What else can it do?

Thanks.

I don't have a smart phone yet, but my bonus might pay for it for a while... depends on the plan ;) Should I bother with a smartphone?

Sounds like the same thing you guys have. Only difference is SWA is trying to build it themselves instead of just plug 'n play.

We'll see how it goes January 2011.

Ok then I hope the JCBA is quick and the computer transition takes longer than the SLI.

I think I may have found another thing you guys want from us.

Keep looking amigo, I'm sure there is something in there.

Fact is SWA isn't very fond of outside IT. For better or for worse I think we'll be using our system when it is all over.

Our scheduling software is good only on a full-up internet browser. Access from smart-phone is do-able but right now only iPhone has an app that'll let you do everything (app built by a SWA pilot). Open time is about to start going to a text message format which does not require a smart phone unless you want to look at the trip (clunky on any smart phone). The texts will contain most info about the trip and you'll be able to reply by text to accept an assignment. This stuff goes live next week so we don't know if we like it or not. Hope that helps...
