How is this any different than what every other company on the planet does?
If you read the whole article, multiple carriers got fined for various reasons.
"Among other recent DOT fines:
A $375,000 fine against Delta in June for bumping violations.
A $130,000 fine against United for a tarmac delay violation.
A $200,000 fine against American affiliate American Eagle for tarmac delay violations."
And here's a thread creep:
Notice no USAirways, the Head of the DOT (Foxx) is the former mayor of Charlotte (USAirways largest hub and the one of the city's largest employers). I'd almost guarantee they are protected during his tenure. And as for the rest of us, Good Luck! Look at the mess the Charlotte airport is in between the city and the state. He had his hand in that mess before going to the DOT. He must have realized that the most powerful man in the city was Mr. Orr, the Airport director, and now that he's the head of the DOT their are rumors the city could lose the authorization to run the airport because of the turmoil his politics has added. That's how he runs things!

They got caught...
"SWA would NEVER do that......" ---Fat SWA Capt in "People's Court" commercial....
Bye Bye---General Lee
You know, I was waiting for your input on this, General; I just didn't feel complete until I got it. Thanks!
By the way, I thought that the "fat" (to be politically correct, I think you mean "height-challenged") SWA Capt said "SWA would NEVER do that...." about charging for bags, which wasn't the issue here. That, of course, begs the question, what exactly were you referring to that SWA would never do (in your post above)?
Did you mean SWA would never make a pricing mistake, or screw up a sale?
Did you mean SWA would never get caught for such a mistake?
Or did you mean that SWA would never use an avatar picture (and a random narcissistic quote) of the biggest raging d0uchebag on television, as a symbol of its identity online. You know, just to indicate one's integrity and moral virtue.
Thanks in advance for clearing up this mystery for us!
Bubba
Both you and Red are soooo sensitive. I thought that commercial and the corpulent Capt were instant classics. You know, most commercial try to show "fit" employees (look at recent DL and now recent SWA commercials), and that "People's Court" commercial wasn't flattering at all. As I stated, SWA recently got the message from the rest and made them more aesthetically pleasing to the viewing consumer.

Most can not be as fit as you
As you have described your self. 6 foot 4. 215lbs. And very senior in ATL on the 767, and always getting green slips
And a wife that make boko bucks.
Very impressive , expect no one has ever heard of you .

Green slips?
I'm glad you know everyone's "story" at your company, you nosy jackhole.
Bye Bye---General Lee
Because he's an internet troll living in his mother's basement. He doesn't now nor has he ever been employed by Delta. He gets what incorrect information he has from his male flight attendant "friend," he's blowing for "buddy passes." By his own admission, this is an anonymous board, and he can pretend to be anyone he wants to be. Nobody's heard of him because he isn't a pilot. It's been proven. Just ignore this colossal d0uche bag! Most can not be as fit as you
