Sun Country is now Officially CASS

As of Today 4/3/07 Sun Country is now in the CASS program. We look forward to helping anyone get back and forth to work a little more easily. For those who care, thanks for your patience. Our patience was tested as well. Again, we look forward to seeing you on the jumpseat.

Yes Sun Country is now CASS. However I'm not sure the gate agents are up to speed on the proceedures. Please ask to speak to the Captain if you have any problems.

I have taken the JFK-MSP on occasion. The contract company that works the gate probably can not spell CASS. Not to mention, TSA strip searches me every time I come through termain 4.
Nonetheless, I always appreciate the ride. Thanks.

From what I have heard it depends on the total number of furlough recalls that come back in this last recall. If they get less than 10-12 total, they may need to hire a few in the fall, If they get more then early next year is a better guess.

Last I heard was that about 6-8 returning from furlough. Returning pilots will be in training in late summer. That will clean up the list and then we will hire. I don't know when the hiring will begin, it seems to change from day to day. I think the earliest would be this fall.
