Anyone have accurate, recent info on what is going on at these 2 companies? How many on furlough at Sun Country and any rumors of recall and or hiring?
Champion?
Thanks

Sun Country has about 50 guys on the street but alot of these people have passed over their recal once already. I haven't heard of them hiring anytime soon. I got this from one of the guys in my crashpad that works there.

I work at Champion and I can give ya some acurrate info on this place. We are short on people but they don't want to hire right now. There are alot of reasons that they have to not bring on new people and some of them seem to make sense. There are 23 furloughed pilots at champion. However, all of them have passed on recal and Champion has run several new hire classes in the last coupla years.

I like it there....but everything is relative. The place definately has it's pluses ( good people easy schedules) and minuses (no retirement bad pay and benefits).

Sun Country has more than 50 pilots on furlough, but that said about 50 still want to come back that have not been recalled. I was in ground school with the C.P. and he said that anyone who wants to be back would be on the property by 2009. It could go faster than that if Tom Petters buys part ownership. He wants to grow the company, so that could speed things along. It could also stay stagnant like it is now because things such as fuel are keeping us cautious and conservative. Flip a coin. :)
