Sun Care Air Ambulance?
1. Pay - I thought the pay was decent to start, that is what attracted me to the company. It was more than I was making flying cargo. Around 40K to start for the first year and topping out in the mid to upper 50s after about 10 years or so. Not really great for a long term job.
2. Schedule - Work 20 days minimum a month. 12 hour shift.
3. Vacation - I think 2 weeks after one year.
4. QOL - When on duty you had to be 20 minutes from the plane. I spent a lot of time at home or at the pool.
5. Future of the company? - When I left it was not good. One of the reasons I left.
6. Anything - Please PM me and I will share further info on why you should stay away from this place.
7. Equipment - The airplanes that they are using are PA31P and CE 421. They are all old and I was lucky if we completed one flight without some kind of mechanical problem. Luckly I did not have any engine failures.

Sun Care, operated by Sunwestern Flyers is in big trouble.
SunWestern is at Yuma, Havasu and Bullhead. Newer FBO's are going up, and slowly pushing SunWestern out.

As for the Sun Care side. They're flying less and less. They have 3-4 of their planes being scrapped out, just sitting on the ramp in Lake Havasu.

This is outdated information I'm sure, but years ago even their medics had nothing but bad to say about the company.

Stay away from that as well. The management is poor. The job is not worth the headache the you will experience working for them. Believe me, I have been there.
