subscribing to services

What do you guys and gals think about services like Berliner Aviation, planejobs.com, and Air Inc. I've Joined Berliner Aviation and have been badly disappointed. They say they have connections to many of the airlines and will help get your resume to the right people. So far nothing yet. I know I'm stupid for having sent my $.

I would tend to avoid those services and not waste the money. There is absolutely nothing that they "provide" that you cannot obtain on your own. I guess if money is not an issue then why not subscribe to all them, especially Air Inc. since you get a nice shiny magazine every month that has pictures of some nice "toys" inside. I personally don't buy into the Kit Darby philosophy and what he and others alike have to say so I stay away from all services like his. I cannot justify wasting money since I got this far without needing any advice from a self proclaimed expert like Kit. Some people will swear by the services and will also say that they have been able to find employment but I think most have not had the great success that a few lucky ones have had.

By the time you have the total time, PIC time, turbine time, etc, etc, I don't believe that you need to rely on "hopes" and help from outsiders to get a job. My hat is off to Kit though since he allows many to believe that they can benefit from his company. I sure would love to have his bank account though.
