stupid question. Does carrying a copy of your medical count?

I would think that it has to be the original. You can get the FAA to fax you verification of a medical for a temporary basis.
 
gotta have the original or a letter from the faa. Most part 121 carriers have an exemption that allows them to issue a temporary form that can be used in lieu of your certificates.
