Hey who was flyin' AC4880(on downwind for ATL) yesterday and what was so "HUGE" ?

My FO and I almost had to go into holding until we could compose ourselves for an approach.

Check your switch

Had ZDV call me one day, asking to expedite an ACARS to a flight to tell them to immediately unstick their mic before they embarrassed themselves any further. They need one of those lights that comes on, like at the radio station, that says "ON AIR." lol

Close

Probably just flew close enough to General Lee's plane to see that his gigantic cranium filled up the entire cockpit!

-What a TOOL!

I was in KMCI the other day and it was either Skywest of CHQ that did this but i felt embarrassed for the tool who said this over the ground freq,

"Ladies and gentleman from the 2 good looking guys upfront...." then realized their mistake WTF. Who says that? TOOL

Welcom to the ATL

My fave was taxiing to the gate in ATL a couple years ago behind Air France when suddenly a powerful transmitter completely overwhelms the ATL Ground freq. It was Air Frog delivering an extremely grandiose and eloquent "welcome to Atlanta" PA including gate/concourse/customs info, weather, thanks for flying Frog etc. Then for a crowning touch he did it all over again in French.

your planes mics dont unstick after 30 seconds of transmission. bummer.

Yeah, it was... that's what made it so funny.

The controller(female also) came to the rescue and warned the prior conversation went over the air, you know if "one of the boys" was working downwind, He would have let the poor pilot go on and on, for all of our amusement.
