I'll be attempting to jumpseat from MEM to STL on Transtates tomorrow, and i have never been to STL so i had a few questions if someone would be kind enough to answer.

1) What Gates does TransStates use for parking the J-41's, I know American uses 3 concourses there

2) I'll be taking Southwest out of STL, and their gates are E-3, E-4, so does TSA (The Security Guys) allow uniformed pilots thru without a boarding pass, or do i need to wait in line at a Southwest ticket counter to recieve a "boarding pass?"

Thanks in advance

I can't recall the exact gates as I've been furloughed too long. I believe that Trans States uses the B tier while SW uses the E tier. When I was there last (October) you didn't have to exit security when getting off Trans States.

Just make a sharp left before the x-ray machines and keep going straight. Pass the next set of x-ray machines to your right and bear right pass the food court. Now just keep walking for the next mile and make a right when you dead end and welcome to SW.

There are people movers but generally they are filled with morons blocking the waking path thinking they are on a ride at Disney.

Good Luck and Don't eat at the food court,
There is a Chili's by SW,

Counselair:)

Thank you, i appreciate it, i've been on the STL airport website trying to look at the maps... Finally, i get to go somewhere other than ATL!! Thank you again

I work for AirNet Express, We have a Reciprocal List with about 30 Airlines, We try to get agreements with airlines that fly out of one of our 40 something Pilot bases. We do have 1 or two planes based out of STL, so thats probably how the Trans States came about. Its on my list, so i hope I'm on yours! If not, i'll be finding out in a few hours...

Trans States

Hey Haz-Mat, You will arrive at B-7 in STL. It is quite a hike to the E Gates. It will take you about 15-20 minutes at a normal walk. You will never leave security on the way to the east terminal so you won't have to worry about the TSA in STL. Good luck.

Frank
