Looking for some advice, short & sweet. Retired military pilot 5000 hours mixed helo and FW. ATP with Citation Type (CE500), Helo Comm & Inst. I been out of cockpit for 2 1/2 years while overseas with family. Need to get some time time to get skills current to look for real flying job. I can rent a bugsmasher and be bored in a couple hours but need more complex time. Will work for peanuts (for a while).....where's the best places to pimp myself out for right seat time to get my brain housing group working like a pilot again. Living in the Memphis area and looking to fly/work corporate, charter, EMS not hot for the airline gig.

New to forum so if I'm out of line soliciting, give me both barrels and I'll straighten up and fly right!

Don't work for peanuts.....please....just get current...I would think you have enough time to be competitive somewhere and be paid a decent wage.

Go to work for FSI or SimuFlite as an instructor. You will meet a client who will hire you. You will also be typed and well qualified (at least academically) when you go to your new job.

Commute if you have to, both organizations will work with you. There is furloughed AA pilot who is a GV instructor at FSI Savannah who lives in Miami.

Good Advice!

FSI hav a Citation II sim in ATL. You might try there.

Citation Shares is also said to be hiring, your 550 experience might help get you on a Bravo there. Those guys seem fairly happy.

Shares has a 200 hours in the past year requirement. Non-negotiable because the chief pilot is a moron. (Oops, did I say that out loud?) TC
