Try the Marriot resort there....I've stayed a few times with my last corporate job. FANTASTIC rooms, right on the beach, and every Wednesday night is FREE CRUZIAN RUM NIGHT AT THE POOL BAR!!!!!!

The golf course there is called Mahogany run. It SUCKS. It's like a really really long putt-putt course. Only thing missing is a windmill and clown's mouth.

Beautiful beaches, though. Nice place to spend a few days.

Jcarson, I envy you.

I'm looking to eventually move to the USVI after my 12 year old daughter graduates and heads off to college or whatever. As an A&P I'm looking towards St Croix and Seaborne Airlines, or whatever else may come up between now and then. I've been to STX once, STT twice, STJ once and going back to STT/STJ in August for a vacation.

I love the fact that the islands aren't all metropolitan and are much more laid back than most places. "Island time" appeals to me, but I was raised out in the middle of nowhere on a farm in Indiana anyway...I'm used to that. :)

The wife just okay'd an August trip so I'll be in STT during the 2nd week of August. Going to have to pass on fun stuff like night time at Woody's on St John because I'm taking my daughter with us this time.

WK, depending on your lifestyle it's a great place to live. From time to time you can get "rock fever" but St. Martin is only 70-miles away (currently less than $100 r/t) and that makes for a nice long weekend getaway - Puerto Rico as well. St. Croix is nice - less populated than St. Thomas and a bit more "out in the country". Of course St. John is one of my favortites - WOODY's! Can't forget Duffy's in St T though!

If you have any questions about any of those places - don't hesitate to ask!
